The other day I made my own marinara sauce and homemade pizza dough, thanks to some recipes from one of the RHONJ's cookbook. (I used her Quickie Sauce recipe as a base and them improvised with spices and sausage for a lot more flavor.)
Since those were successful, I'm looking for more things to cook. One goal of mine is to channel the Polish in me and make some pierogi. A friend of mine has "Pierogi Day" with all the women in her family before the holidays and they make hundreds of them by hand. I think I'll start with this recipe and see how it works.
Years ago, my friend Erika mentioned making spaghetti pie. I always meant to ask her for the recipe for it, but for some reason never did. Today I was checking out the website of the new Cooking Channel and stumbled across a recipe for "pasta pizza" which I think is how I imagine her recipe to be.

Oh good Lord, Cheryl. . .ask Bill about spaghetti pie. I think the last time he let me make it was when we lived with you! You literally put your leftover spaghetti (combined with your leftover sauce) in a pie plate, cover with more sauce. . .cheese it up (because who doesn't love more cheese?) and throw it in the oven until the cheese is melty. Super yum. . .unless you're Bill, apparently.
